Description

Amine and glycol circulation systems require filter selection based on the fluid chemistry and operating conditions. Temperature, solvent concentration, suspended contamination and the location of the filter all influence which cartridge construction should be used.

A JPMP polypropylene replacement element may be evaluated for particulate removal where the liquid, seals and cartridge components are compatible with the service. Its role is to capture suspended solids carried by the circulating fluid.

In an amine filtration loop, cartridge selection should consider the type of amine, operating temperature and contamination profile. For glycol filtration, identify the glycol type and review the conditions at the actual filter location. A TEG dehydration system should not be treated as a single uniform operating environment.

Particulate filters and activated carbon filters perform different functions. A pleated PP element should not be described as removing dissolved contaminants or replacing a carbon treatment stage without supporting application data.

Send the existing filter number together with the process conditions to assess whether a JPMP-type polypropylene cartridge is appropriate for the installation.
