Meitong Filtration manufactures replacement demister filter elements for industrial oil mist elimination systems, including selected HILLIARD HILCO DM Series applications.These elements are suitable for industrial equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating engines, generators and gearboxes.

Our replacement demister cartridges are designed to capture and coalesce oil mist entrained in equipment vent air streams, helping reduce oil carryover, recover lubricating oil and maintain cleaner operating environments.

How HILCO DM Series Demister Filter Elements Work

Oil mist is commonly generated inside the lubrication systems of high-speed rotating machinery. During operation, fine oil droplets become suspended in the vent air stream and may escape into the surrounding environment.

Demister filter elements use coalescing filtration technology to separate these suspended oil droplets from the air.

The filtration process consists of four main stages:

Inside-Out Airflow: Oil-laden air enters the interior of the demister cartridge and flows outward through the filtration media.

Oil Mist Capture: Fine oil droplets are captured by the coalescing media through interception, impaction and other filtration mechanisms.

Droplet Coalescence: Captured oil droplets combine into larger droplets that drain from the filter media.

Oil Recovery: Collected oil can be returned to the lubrication oil reservoir, while the treated air is discharged with reduced oil mist content.

This process helps minimize oil losses, reduce visible oil mist emissions and improve equipment cleanliness.
