Description

The Meitong Replacement VoTech DuoToV 90/180 Coalescing Filter Cartridge is designed to remove solid contaminants and liquid aerosols from natural gas and industrial gas streams, helping protect downstream equipment and support reliable operation.

Combining particle filtration and liquid coalescence in one cartridge, the element uses a multilayer pleated pre-filter to capture solid particles before they reach the fiberglass coalescing media. This staged filtration design helps limit contaminant buildup in the coalescing layer and supports consistent filtration performance.

As gas passes through the coalescing media, fine liquid droplets collect and merge into larger droplets, which can then drain and separate within the filter vessel.

Working principle

Droplets of oil, water, and other liquids are captured by the fibers inside the coalescers. These micron-level fibers form a tortuous flow path, forcing solid particles and liquid droplets to be captured through three primary filtration mechanisms: inertial impaction, diffusion interception, and direct interception. Surface tension causes small droplets to coalesce into larger ones, which then settle to the bottom of the vessel under gravity.
